Tim Lawlor practices in the areas of commercial, labor and employment, eminent domain, and class action litigation.

Tim has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of complex commercial disputes. He has successfully defended class actions in Wisconsin, Washington, and California. He has handled a wide variety of employment law claims including age, sex, race, and disability discrimination cases. He has obtained numerous summary judgments in discrimination cases on behalf of employers. He was in the Judge Advocate General's Corps Group of the United States Army, and represented soldiers.

  • Spokane Airports v. RMA, Inc., No. 26538-2-III, 149 Wn. App. 930 (2009) (Condemnation).
  • Wright v. Jeckle, 158 Wash. 2nd 375 (2006) (Class Action concerning Washington’s medical anti-kickback statute).
  • Griffiths v. Trustees of Carpenters Local Union No. 98, 98 Wash App. 1063 (2000) (Attempted rescission of real estate contract).
  • State v. Wandermere, 89 Wash. App. 369 (1997) (Eminent domain).
  • U.S. v. Greene, 36 M.J. 274 (1993), U.S. v. Lilly, 24 M.J. (1992), U.S. v. Donley, 33 M.J. 44 (1991) (Judge Advocate  General's Corps U.S. Army).

Representative Cases Litigated:

  • Defended a series of nationwide class action cases involving warranty and product liability issues.
  • Obtained seven-figure settlements for clients in a technical product liability case.
  • Obtained a $1.1 million arbitration award in an Idaho condemnation case.
  • Successfully defended a major insulated glass manufacturer in two class-action cases.
  • Helped obtain a $1.56 million jury verdict for owners of vacant property north of Spokane.
  • Successfully defended appeal of the largest condemnation award in Eastern Washington history.
  • Obtained record condemnation settlements with the state of Washington.
  • Successfully defended an engineering firm in geotechnical litigation.
  • Assisted in trying and winning the first Americans with Disabilities Act case in the Eastern District of Washington.
