Ned Barnes is recognized as an expert in the fields of banking, corporate, and real estate law. Ned made his first foray into real estate financing as the secretary of BancShares Mortgage Company, a subsidiary of Old National Bank which has since merged with US Bank.

Ned has extensive experience in all areas of lending, including real estate loans and foreclosures. He has negotiated easements and land leases for a wide range of prominent Spokane buildings and organizations, and has been a significant contributor to the rejuvenation efforts in downtown Spokane. He served on state bar committees to rewrite the Business Corporation Act for Washington State, the Deed of Trust Act, and the Real Estate Contract Forfeiture Act. He also provided legal advice as the primary attorney to Sterling Savings Bank since its inception in 1983. Every two years, Ned organizes and chairs a seminar on real estate leasing in Spokane.
