Summer Associate Program

Our Summer Associate Program provides a valuable opportunity for high-achieving law students. Each summer associate works on various projects in our seventeen practice areas. Summer associates gain experience in all aspects of our practice, including:

• Drafting documents and pleadings
• Research projects
• Strategy sessions
• Attendance at depositions
• Court proceedings

Work assignments are interspersed with mentoring sessions, and feedback on performance. Summer associates can also look forward to a number of social events that provide an opportunity to get better acquainted with firm partners and associates.

The culmination of the Summer Associate Program is the final review process—the core of our hiring efforts. Each person is evaluated on: 

• Basis of knowledge of applicable law
• Analytical and research skills
• Quality of technical, reasoning and interpretive writing skills
• Productivity and effectiveness
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ethics
• Professionalism
